Are you ever in the mood for something like a sweet treat, but wish you could be more healthy about your indulgence?  Well here is a solution to both the yum, and the healthy in life.

Introducing my little creation, The Almond-Matcha-Coconut-Cacao Delight.  I seriously just whipped this up one day after getting a sample of Matcha Matcha Tea from my lovely friend Kate.  She supplies New Zealand with the finest quality Matcha available.  I dug around in my fridge and cupboards and this is what I came up with:

Ingredients:

  • 1 TSP Matcha Powder

  • 15 soaked almonds skins removed

  • 1 – 2 TBSP Raw Cacao Powder (depending on how chocolately you like to go)

  • 1 TBSP Raw Cacao Nibs

  • 1/3 cup CoYo Chocolate Yogurt

  • a dash of vanilla

  • 2 Mejool Dates (make sure to pit them!!!!)

  • 1 TBSP shredded coconut

  • 1 frozen or fresh banana

  • 8-10 oz coconut water or plain filtered water.

Place everything in the blender (I prefer a Blendtec or VitaMix, I have a Blendtec), and zip until smooth.
